The great progress of battery energy storage technology and the continuous low cost of wind and solar energy are subverting the entire power industry.

But solar energy, like wind energy, has a time point problem, so it does not provide consumers with convenient and affordable electricity as the battery does. However, with the reduction of the cost of wind and solar power in recent years, some power plants are keen to use these renewable energy sources to generate electricity. Last year, an analysis by Lazard investment consulting showed that wind power plants made profits for the first time. The reason was that many power industry investors began to combine wind, solar and high-energy batteries to improve wind or solar power and reduce the cost of electricity.
It is estimated that the new business models appear, or reduce the cost of generating electricity from 10% to 25%. Of course, wind and solar power plants are not large in the power industry in the United States, but the US Energy Agency is optimistic about its development prospects and predicts that by 2050, the power generation of renewable energy, which is dominated by wind and solar energy, will increase by 139%, and the natural gas power generation is also growing, but the coal and electricity will show a moderate decline.

Therefore, market analysts are generally optimistic about Panasonic and other listed companies that provide high energy storage batteries. At the same time, Bouayad believes that power companies with high energy storage batteries, wind and solar energy will have more opportunities to develop in the future because of the huge potential for wind power development in the Midwest.
For example, the US electric power company, covering eleven states in the United States, provides power services for more than 5 million users. In the past decade, the company has cut coal and electricity from 70% in 2005 to 47% last year, and plans to further reduce the proportion of coal and electricity and improve wind and solar power.
